Millennium Park Restaurant Opens Its Annual Alfresco Patio

Chicago, IL (May 18, 2009) – As the temperature warms up and the sun starts shining again in Chicago, diners spill out of their homes for any chance they get to eat or drink outdoors. Whether guests prefer beer gardens or a scenic patio with live music, there is no better place for an alfresco bite to eat and a refreshing cocktail than The Plaza at Park Grill, located in Millennium Park.
 
Offering the largest outdoor patio in Chicago, The Plaza at Park Grill presents a casual, yet vibrant experience in the heart of downtown Chicago. With 350 seats below a sea of colorful umbrellas and Chicago’s legendary “Bean,” patrons can feast on Chef Bernie Laskowski’s tantalizing grill menu featuring such items as House-made Duck & Seafood Tacos ($10); Fresh Strawberry Salad ($9); and Park Grill’s infamous burgers including the American Kobe Burger with Gorgonzola, Grain Mustard and Balsamic Onions on a Pretzel Bun ($10-16).

Daily drink specials and live music make The Plaza at Park Grill the place to be for afternoon bites, sips and entertainment. Daily drink specials such as Mojito Mondays, Absolut’ly Wednesdays & Margarita Fridays are offered for $5 for those in need of a little libation therapy.  Additional daily beer and cocktail specials are also available.

In addition, every Thursday beginning May 28, 101.9fm THE MIX and Budweiser Select present the 5^th annual “Party in the Park” free summer concert series on The Plaza at Park Grill. Running May through August, local bands and musicians such as Juniper Mays, Dick Prall, The Handcuffs and Hooked on Sonics will provide live entertainment from 4 to 6:30 p.m.  All concerts are free and open to the public.
